Sangam Model United Nations Concludes in Grand Fashion at Neerja Modi School, Udaipur

Neerja Modi School, Udaipur run by the Sojatia, became the stage for one of the city’s most ambitious student-driven events from May 01 to 03, 2026. The three-day Sangam Model United Nations-organized in collaboration with Young Gazette – drew more than 300 participants from schools across Udaipur, who gathered to deliberate on pressing global issues across six UN-based committees.

The fest opened with speech of Chairman Dr. Mahendra Sojatia motivating participants to understand the UN’s objectives and arrive at decisive, well-reasoned solutions Chief Guest, Ms. Anupam Nidhi, Head, CSR, Vedanta Hindustan Zinc guided participants that patience, deep research, effective presentation, and a balanced perspective are the hallmarks of a responsible citizen along.

Over three days, students engaged in debate, research, and persuasion skills. The organizers believed to go far beyond the classroom. Director Sakshi Sojatia said that such programmes cultivate communication skills and awareness of community responsibility, while familiarizing students with the workings of international forums.

The closing ceremony on 3rd May was grand and dignified. Participants from schools across Udaipur presented their arguments before committees, earning recognition for the quality of their research and their composure under cross-examination.

Chief Guest for closing ceremony Ms. Nandita Singhal remarked that such events build leadership capacity, logical thinking, and a global outlook that cannot be imparted in regular classrooms. She also encouraged all the participants to seek out such platforms in the future.

Secretary, Dr. Dhruv Sojatia expressed that institution commits to continue such educational initiatives and, in addition to above a gesture towards environmental stewardship was also organized where bird-feeders, bird feed and water dispensers were distributed to all attendees on behalf of the Sojatia Charitable Trust. Young Gazette founder Vipul Sharma, Sangam MUN President Anurag Singh Rao, and Secretary Lavanya Mehrotra were present throughout the event, having played central roles in its organization from inception.

The fest also featured a live orchestra and other entertainments, rounding out what organizers called a truly memorable celebration of youth diplomacy in Udaipur.
